If you Standroids were serious about your disdain for Apple's famed "walled garden" philosophy, then you should be applauding this statement by Tim Cook and support this attempt to establish accountability throughout the organization and shedding Jobs' "our way or the highway" mentality.

Instead you mock the man (who, by the way, still leads a company that has seen record-breaking profits every quarter under his supervision - and that is now worth almost a trillion dollars.)

Shame on you...

You can't blame them for trying to end their dependability on a rival company as soon as possible. That's just Business 101. And if you want to describe this maps fiasco as a bad business decision, keep in mind that very few iPhones will be returned over maps. There are far worse decisions a CEO can make than this...at least he's proactively working to make changes. Stay tuned...

Why do people always feel the need to flaunt how much apple is worth, who gives a shyt. None of that trillion is in your or mines bank account. The only people getting paid is the stock holders and executives when the sheep line up to buy the next iJail devices. GTFOH

:steviej: busineses 101 ? take away a product tens of millions of customer depend and use on a daily basis a year earlier than you really needed to? I mean i understand the whole we hate google complex and we want to separate ourselves fine, but if you had a year left why not tuck ur tails keep google maps for that one year while you develop and refine your own maps apps

shyt makes no sense at all , they are not strapped for cash so thats not why they pulled this move, was a self corporate move

Each side flaunts their company's successes. Don't get salty just because your side has less.

And a lot of us iStans on the Coli ARE Apple stockholders so...
