8 was dope. Better than 9 hands down... Hate that garbage ass art style
Ff9 was great better than 8 by far.
8 did a lot of experimental stuff but the main characters were mostly unlikable

Y'all bugging 8 had likeable characters Zell for 1. He was the best
and the cowboy Irvine was cool.
I never understood this. I'd rather remake something that wasn't well liked than something that everyone likes.

The purpose of making games is to make money not get people to re-examine their dislike of something
Then they really should remake VIII because IX didn't sell as well.

Because IX came out after the PS2 released. It came out in that awkward phase between the PS2 launch across seas and in the US and the PS2 hysteria was probably more crazy than the PS5 hype is now. Critically it faired far better than VIII

I missed 8 and 9 back when I was a kid. I heard 8 was mixed with a good story but bad gameplay, but 9 is a really good.
