She will be kissing the ring soon.
Soon? She already has to a certain extent. I keep asking for someone to point to anything that she’s gotten passed and all I keep getting told is she inspires progressives and moves the Dems more left of center. Nothing tangible. She’s still trying to get the Green New Deal shyt passed even tho it’s DOA every time. She pops a lotta shyt at her fellow party members that don’t agree with her from a safe liberal district.

Above the fray.
Knowing the realities of politics, officials who refuse to tap dance for the lobbies have to have high turnout from their core voters and bases..

In slightly different scenario, ten years ago Ras Baraka defeated a candidate who was backed by big money developers/education reformers to become mayor.
Shavar Jeffries backers spent so much money that they flooded the NYC metro airwaves with ads. The first time I'd ever seen a campaign ad for Newark Mayor on broadcast TV. Baraka won, though.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I am not a AOC hater by any means, I am progressive asf, and although I think she has strayed away from progressive issues a lot, and has bowed down to the “moderates” democratic establishment for self preservation (which is understandable, as you have to pay to play in Washington or you will be on the outside looking in), I am not writing her off completely, I still think she is good for the movement. I say all that to say that even though JB did a lot of self sabotage, most of it completely unnecessary, AOC gave up on him, and didn’t even show up on Election Day even though she already committed, smh. She made a calculated decision for self preservation, to not have his “stink” on her, and I’m not the person to decide if she was right or wrong in that, but she isn’t the person to criticize anybody/anything else when she abandoned a friend/colleague.

She is right. Dark money ruins races, especially locally, when they can flood the streets vs someone who relies on small money ownership etc.
We continue to be fukked as long as money is considered speech. Those with more money have more speech.
She is correct but most of the challenges have only been conservations.
