My girl does (federal). I live in pg county so half the population does. The general sentiment is, it’s solid pay, consistent pay bumps, and almost impossible to get fired. A lot of folks skate for years until retirement.

It always fukks me up how “not progressive” the govt is.

I worked for department of state as an “intern” in hs and college. At like the GS-7 or 8 level. Bammas was in there making 6 figures doing some bullshyt

As an intern I used to help with the promotions and assignments of foreign services officers. Would prepare the paperwork and eval papers for the decision makers to grade lower ranked foreign service officers
