Downloading the update demo now from Reason 5. If i can just load my sample in there without chopping in recycle first, might give it a shot. The direct audio recording looks promising.

i have 7. ^ you got the demo so im sure you already know by now the workflow is crazy

The big azz mixer. Even my dual monitor won't fit everything. But i like much easier way to load the samples and get going (i'm still fully using 5). Did you buy retail? I don't want to start anything serious on it cuz i once i save i won't be able to open.
once you finish a joint just export it. you can export track by track and mix it somewhere else. reason hasnt been cracked since 5

Caved in and upgraded yesterday. Reason 5 is the worst version of reason ever. 
If i had known that even Reason 6 had a smoother workflow i would've upgraded a long time ago. 7 Though
