did it for a month while i was in college and one day i couldnt deal with it so i left without saying anything. Dealt with ALOT of fukkery from customers. Once there was a chocolate dipped ice cream cone promotion going on and this bum came in and asked for one. the price was $1.40 in total, I believe so the dude gives me the 40 cents and I was like, "it's $1.40
" Dude catches and attitude and throws all of his change (coins) on the counter and was like "WELL TAKE ALL MY MONEY." I damn near blacked out on his ass but let the manager handle it.
I worked register while i was there since damn near all the employees didnt speak english.
It was aight but i felt like the cats in the back on the grill had it better since they didnt have to deal with customers. But i hated closing and the manager telling us to keep ourselves busy even when there were no customers. Being on my feet all day sucked and when i got home and sat down, I felt like I was still standing up. That month felt like 4 years and I couldnt imagine how people worked that kind of job as their main shyt.
Maybe I was on some bougie shyt but it wasnt like I thought I was above it, but I was flying WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY below my potential. shyt was a wake up call and forced me to straighten up and get another job where I was using my skills that I was in school for.
