What are some good carriers?

I'm looking at Straight talk and Virgin Mobile, I cannot justify paying $170 a month between my girl and I anymore. That is $10,200 in just a 5 year period, on a fukking phone service, we can afford it but why? I like having a smartphone, but not to the point I'm willing to pay the premium when there's other services out there that are 1/3 the price.

The best deal is unquestionably Simple Mobile - Unlimited "4G" service for $50 a month each line...nothing is touching that (just has to be a t-mobile phone to take full advantage)

Internet is a lil slow but I can't justify spending double for faster speeds
They also upgrading their shyt so it can be 3G
I see it everywhere already
I'm in NYC tho
And tmobiles 3G is faster than most 4g

That doesn't really bother me, I can count on my hand how much I use 4g during the week, but good looks.

I can't justify it anymore, once you do the math it's just not wise to get locked into these contracts just to get a phone "cheaper" even though you end up paying more for it in the long run. If you have the money up front to buy the phone, do it.....don't look back.

Not only that but I don't gotta worry about going over in minutes or texts or data usage. Then they add all types of random taxes. And if I ever wanna get lost for a month or so all I have to do is not pay that month. With a contract u paying regardless if u use it or not. It's like a win/win/win/win situation

This is the plan I have with the Galaxy Nexus. Wifi calling with the Groove IP app is ok and there have been a few times when I've used up more than 100 minutes. I keep some extra money in the account. It is 10 cents a minute after using up the 100 for the month.

You can always upgrade to the 50 dollar plan on T-Mobile or Straight Talk.
Buy refill cards on callingmart.com and you won't pay taxes too.
I'll never go back to contracts again.

I feel you, but I think its worth the extra $18 or so you will be spending to get unlimited 4G, text, and minutes with simple mobile.

You COULD also get the $40 plan but that gets you down to EDGE speed with unlimited text and minutes as well. 100 minutes a month is very very low...you sure you don't even cross that 100 minute mark in a month?

I'm straight to the point - "You ready" "I'm there" "where are you" long convos with me take place in text so I can multitask.
