Which MPC model do you want? If you're new to the MPC family, you should try the MPC 500. It's like an entry-level MPC (with 12 pads, instead of 16). Ebay is your friend.

I created numerous beats , manually by using my computer keyboard / Fl studio . Sampling instrumentals form the the 60s & 70s is my fortay , but its mad time consuming when you don't have a MPC and I want to be able to flip it and rearrange it more efficiently without the hassle .

You ever look into maschine? Or a controller for a program you already have. MPCs are a very hard workflow to catch onto.

yea you'll want to check craigs or ebay. if not your local area on craigs then somewhere in driving range. depending on what model you can cop there is a feature that you can look up for that particular model therefore you can push all the pads, buttons, knobs and sliders and the screen will respond, that'll let you know if you are buying one that has dead buttons, pads, etc.

Try looking around locally I seen a few here and there in that price range at guitar center pawn shops and cash converters plus you may get a better deal if it's been sitting long
