Anyone know a program to convert HD video files to 3.99 GB M2TS files for the PS3?

Need to convert these 10+ GB MKV files to the 3.99 GB PS3 friendly format

That would take hours if he tried to use a media server.

I can't say for sure, but I'm positive those m2ts files have been compressed to reach 3.99gb. I usually just convert to MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 with Gotsent or ripbot

PS3muxer might work for him though. Sounds like what he's looking for

Yeah... @ that media server shyt...

What Im trying to do is convert the files to the m2ts, even if its compressed a little, it seems to maintain the resolution, and the 3.99 gb is the limit i can transfer to my harddrive...then i wanna copy a bunch of them on my ps3.

Of course you can, man You can set the file size..the bit rate....the resolution..everything. I reduce HD files all the damn time...it's no big deal. If you are worried about it being a 3.99 GB output, all you have to do is use the bitrate calculator.

that program "gotsent" will split it up into 4gb pieces

if you set it up right, it will just convert the audio, and not convert the video at all. that way you don't loose any video quality, and it's much faster than doing a full video conversion.
