Anyone have experience with water fasting

Thinking about water fasting for 24hours (once per week), sometimes more
so probably 4-8 days of the month

Does anyone recommend it?
If so what results did you see and can you offer any tips

any help is appreciated :salute:

I do it every year the first week of the year for 7 days straight. The first year was hard, but now I'm in my 5th year of doing it and I still do light workouts while water fasting. 24 hours should be a breeze, just drink a gang of water.

watched a youtube vid on it and heard its real good for your body. Weight loss, scar tissue, toxins, and i even heard tumors can all be removed

It can be but make sure it aligns with all your goals. It's a method but some of those same things can be accomplished without fasting.I would imagine that some of that is overstated.

How much water per day?

At first, I generally run thru a gallon and a half of water a day easily. I drink my normal intake plus I drink to subside any hunger pains that come along. If you're going much longer, like a week, after about 3 days the hunger pains go away and then I'm back to just drinking a normal intake (maybe 4-6 pints of water).

Gonna try my hand at it starting tomorrow :ehh: how should I restrict myself at the gym? With nothing going in should I take a week off or just keep it light?

Keep it light. I got light headed easily and my muscles would cramp up too. So, during my fast I do treadmill walking at a brisk pace for cardio instead of a normal HIIT routine. And I'd lift at 60%-80% of my max if lifting.

Damn I couldnt do this, if I dont eat for a long time I start getting nauseous...

im 24 water fasting today too.. thats crazy a thread was made yesterday for this

im on hour 17 right now

i lost 15 lbs and 1.5 inches off my waist in 2 weeks doing daily 20hr fast without much activity. once i started working out it became
more difficult to gauge my progress using the scale due to fluctuations and what not so i now just rely on measuring tape.

it definitely works. id say go for it
