2010 The King's Speech - never saw it
2011 The Artist - never saw it
2012 Argo - Good movie but Silver Linings Playbook was better
2013 12 Years a Slave - Great movie, deserved to win but I have no desire to ever see it again
2014 Birdman - Good movie but Whiplash was better
2015 Spotlight - Never saw it but the Big Short was my favorite from that year
2016 Moonlight - eh, okay movie but overrated
2017 The Shape of Water - Meh, Get Out was better
2018 Green Book - I liked this a lot more than I thought it would but don't think it was Oscar worthy
2019 Parasite - Not mad that this won but 1917 was my favorite of that year

You pretty much wrote what I was going to say - especially the ones in bold.

When it comes to 12 Years A Slave, it's kind of like Schindler's List. It's a powerful and important movie, and I'm glad to hear that a lot of history classes in high school now show this movie or got the book into the curriculum but it's not one that I'll ever pop in and watch again due to the hard and truthful content. It deserved BP, but I've watched Wolf of Wall Street 4x as much and I found it more enjoyable. Same with Whiplash over Birdman and Get Out over The Shape Of Water.

EDIT - As for The King's Speech, I think every nominee that year was better than that film. Toy Story 3 deserved that award but I know how the AMPAS feel about animated pictures and it's fukking stupid.
