Scarface was the first double vhs tape I saw at Blockbuster, and it was ALWAYS rented out.

One summer I rented EVERY blaxploitation film there was from Palmer Video (which was a smaller chain, before Blockbuster came through and crushed the buildiings)

You either have a large Indian or Nigerian community in your area. Perhaps Mexicans. Store is catering to them and their cinema .

Pops use to be like "ok you guys look around here. I'll be back" then we watch him go thru that curtain. Wondering wtf was back there.

Remember when Hollywood and Blockbuster kept empty boxes of the available movies and video games behind the original cover? My smart ass use to collect all the hot games and movies and hide them in the wack section. Ensuring availability the next time I went there.

Getting to go pick out a movie or game

But if you picked a dud it was truly wack there was no internet /rotten tomatoes to tell you how good a flick was just cover art and the description on the box
