Yeah, I'm working tomorrow me and my wife. So we're having Thanksgiving dinner today. We fried the turkeys yesterday and her and my daughter and cooking the side dishes now.
You getting time and a half?
Nope.
I'm in the media so we have to have one person on duty.
I got a day off though. I took it for Friday so I can head to my girl's right after work on Thursday and sleepover all weekend

Well, since it's Thanksgiving I think my wife is getting time and a half and I'm getting double time and a 1/2 plus evening/night differential.

Man I work for the telephone company (AT&T). Since I'm in maintenance we have to have people here 24/7 so on holidays if we work them we get double time and a 1/2 and since I'll be working from 4pm-12am I'll get a 10% differential on top of that. My wife is a RN at a hospital.
At least you are compensated financially for working on holidays. I work for the state so we are off on holidays but they aren't paying any kind of overtime if you work late. They giving it k-time like I want that bullshyt

Yeah believe me, if they didn't offer it I wouldn't be working it. But all this is for money for Christmas so it's all good. Plus, it's going to be a "really" slow night at work. I'll probably be sleep most of the time. I got movies to watch, I got my TV so I can catch the Thanksgiving games and I can watch my cable box from my cell phone for the other games.
