So I’ve got:
Amazon Prime Video
Apple plus
Netflix
Disney plus

And there’s a shyt ton of stuff on there to watch yet seems like I feel overwhelmed by all of them. In the sense that they’re on paper good, but it’s not really shyt that I find exciting to watch. I’ll start watching and then 15-20mins later get bored and stop watching. It’s the same across the platforms.

I now find myself watching the same two or three series/movies over and over again. I’m now on my 6th rewatching of breaking bad on Netflix and countless rewatching of xfiles episodes. Anyone else feel like this? It’s crazy that we are swamped with all these shows and yet I struggle to find something interesting to watch

yeah.

haven't even watched the marvel or star wars shyt like wanda vision or bad batch, mando.

I've re-watched star trek more than I've invested in watching something new.

what i hate is how they treat it like TV and don't drop shyt all at once.

fukking just release them shyts all at once. i cut cable for a reason

Once I watch the new stuff I’m excited for I feel burned out to try anything else for a while. I feel like I’m wasting money on services/content I’m not watching.

Definitely. And I think it's driving people to just stick to old comfort shows and movies that they've seen dozens of times. The human brain just isn't set up for this kind of massive sensory input or options. It creates stress. There was a recent study that showed people tend to revert back to what is familiar when they're stressed out. It soothes anxiety. Maybe people are checking out 1-2 shows or movies here and there, but a lot of people are just re-watching shyt and dropping streams. I'm about to let HBO Max go. I barely watch Prime but I'm keeping it because its attached to Amazon, and I'm on the fence about keeping Netflix. The rest I seriously don't have time for.

They all have a few things I will watch. I like to rewatch movies but I'm not big on rewatching series.

Hulu live at least gives you a cable type feel. Decent to good movies to choose from, decent series from time to time plus some of the cable channels you're used to.
