Anyone else come to terms with the fact that they'll just never be comfortable with swimming/water?

I've just never been comfortable in any body of water deeper than I can stand in, regardless of knowing how to swim. :yeshrug:

Not that I'm that good of a swimmer, my mom even made me take swimming lessons at the Y as a kid, and I did enough to get by and avoid drowning if I have to, but I've just never really cared for that shyt at all. The furthest I'll go is the shallow end of the pool, and even that's rare. Even though I can technically swim I have absolutely no interest going to the deep end of a pool, and I wouldn't even think about something like diving or scuba diving. I don't even really care for going on boats.

Anybody else feel that way? I've come to terms that I'm just never going to care for swimming or water.

A bathtub or jacuzzi is cool, but any body of water I can't stand in :whoa: :camby:

Only feel this way in beaches, especially after the increase in shark activity in the northeast the past 5 years (a good thing). After a shark expert said swimming in 4-5ft of water is a risk that we need to accept, I decided it’s not a risk I’m willing to take. Idc about saltwater. :manny:

You're way more likely to drown than be bitten by a shark.
