My lower back permanently hurts. Think I want to try them for the first time ever. What are your experiences? Seems kind of dangerous if you use too much weight

Dont go heavy best to go light on them. Go slow and drop your hips first then lean forward. Great exercise for the back stabilizers.

Nah I've just done back extensions. You're not supposed to go heavy on them though.
