- More even mix of cardio and lifting
CONS
- Crossfit gyms (boxes) are EXPENSIVE
- Some crossfit trainers put everyone, from beginner to expert, on the same routine, which leads to tons of injuries, leaving no room for a learning curve
- Need a lot of space/equipment
- If you're not a powerlifter, it may not be for you
- It's a fad, like P90X or Tae-Bo
So you can incorporate workouts from it, but make sure you train up to be able to complete the effectively with proper form. And by no means do you join a crossfit box. Find a gym with enough space to accomodate running around from station to station, but if not, a more conservative powerlifting workout with intensive cardio is just as effective tbh.
