Damn, I just cleaned mines out this past weekend.
It start shutting down do to overheating.
I looked online to see how to fix it and basically all I had to do was clean all the dust out.
I haven't had a problem with it since.
Lol no but I think I should. Every couple of days it starts beeping randomly and I can hear the fan inside or whatever it is. Even when it's turned off I can still hear it beeping/the fan on.

No the xbox wont need any cleaning at all since you likely aren't putting any games in the disc drive.
You may need to clean the drool off your controller from time to time as you fall asleep watching Netflix though.
