The movies are all a little cheesy since it's before movie making and acting was so polished, but there are some really good stories. One scene where she gets a "get a hold of yourself" slap teh director kept making her do over and over again. Robert Mitchum got fed up and went over and smacked the director like a bytch and told him "Is THAT how you want me to do it?"

Hatful of Rain about a guy addicted to morphine after the Korean war, some gritty shyt but good stories. AMC has great background notes so always listen to their prologues and epilogues.
