I sold a lot of my book collection on Amazon.
Ship it to em, they store it, and they sell it. Books were fine. Like a better version of E-Bay/Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace.
In terms of drop shipping
- Ebay - fees
- Amazon Fees, lots of competition, dirty competition from the Chinese and Amazon itself
- Etsy - flooded with Chinese crap and bad search engine
- Facebook Marketplace/Craig's List- not as saturated, but it's kind of a pain to be national and make a decent income selling drop shipped items
I couldn't really make the #'s work when I pulled up Amazon, and saw how many people were already selling the exact same thing.
The move, 4-6 years ago, was to be on FB or IG and send people to your Shopify Store and drop ship from your "store".
That might be dead now - but it's still a decent move if you can think of a good niche, and test it.
I think everyone is doing TikTok now.
