I can set my mpc up as a master or slave.

So if it's the master, I can press record, stop, change bars/steps from my daw or another machine, using the control on my mpc.

If it's the slave, I can use whatever daw (mpc beats, FL studio, logic) and basically remote control my mpc.

You can also connect hardware together. @TEKBEATZ

You're going to have your midi clock or midi time code so your devices are in sync.

It's an element to the game....I mean..I could lay down drums on the mpc, then lay down keys on a keyboard, or daw, or elements from another piece of hardware. Or vice versa....

Anybody regularly use this or at any point utilized it?

Yeah I have to use it to remotely control transport stuff in AUM (iOS). Works good for that.

MMC as a whole is losing support. Like I’m almost positive Ableton doesn’t support it.

Sync/Clocking is one of the weakest parts of MIDI. Hoping MIDI 2.0 addresses this. Even with an older MPC, which are usually among the more solid clocks you can find for MIDI. Still shaky.

Ableton Link is horrible, imo.
