seems like most older people i know play the lottery faithfully. i've never played it even once in my life.
the real alarming thing is when you look at the statistics winning the lottery for a decent sized sum is more likely to ruin your life than anything else. people who win the lottery go bankrupt at a rate much higher than regular people.
the thing that really gets me is the odds of winning are so low its pointless to play. i've never really hear about any millionaires winning the lotto. i mean if there's some 600 million sized powerball jackpot and you're a millionaire you could take a large chunk of money and buy a hell of a lot of tickets and create way more chances to win yet none of them seem to do this.
