I remember when they shat on Nas so hard a little thun like me was almost choked up, they dissed the shyt out of Nas ... basically called him a liar and failure. They where always trying to be more than hiphop/rnb and they did it so pompously.
from the editors "what are you listening to", etc ...... now Justin Bieber, Gaga, anyone can make that Magazine cover. I aint read that shyt in over a decade, but to call someone the Jay-Z of the south, thats some ass kissing. smh.

If you remember Vibe was more responsible than any other magazine or media outlet for instigating the East vs West battle in the mid 90's....They basically lived off that mess for a solid two years then when Biggie got murked created a cover saying some corny self righteous shyt like
"When Will It End?"
They were printing letters from Pac from Rikers and rebutals from everyone from Lil Shawn to Puffy...Then they blew up the Soul Train Awards confrontation when Puff was calling Pac a fake thug and Big kept referring to him as "Bishop"
