you guys got ableton? use the stock plugin "utility" and choose the preset "difference". it's a center canceller and i've had a lot of success with it. usually drums are mono so by "Canceling the center" and keeping the panned sides, it usually does a good job.

200 dollars, but could not find a link to the demo. I'll try the ableton tip first then.

Just Blaze and people of his ilk are using something more than session players to replay samples. Just Blaze had this crazy James Brown sample with no drums, I'm looking at my mpc with a face.

It's just phase cancellation. It's like those karaoke racks that remove vocals. It's never quite perfect though because there are bound to be something else in the same frequency range as the drums you're trying to isolate.

Unless this plug in works differently. Not sure how it would do this without cancellation though.

FL Studio has a Stereo Shaper build in.
