Anybody ever take a dna test?

To find out where your ancestors came from? I know exactly where my pops is from but my mother's history isnt as clear. I was looking into this one National Geographic Store

I've heard mixed things about this one. 23andme or Ancestry's might be a better look. If you do it though report back.

i used 23andme.com it works really good and has a lot of tools

you can also email your dna file to this guy jdmcdona@illinois.edu and he will tell you more details about your dna

but i cant say whether other sites are better or worse but i know 23andme.com works good
