I know this might be a long-shot here, but anybody else watch the show? It comes on Thursdays at 10pm est on IFC and stars Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci who make up the comedy singing duo Garfunkel and Oates.

I wasn't sure how much singing would be in the show when I checked it out, but there are usually only a couple of songs with the rest of the show playing like a standard comedy. It kinda reminds me of Broad City in a way and they have had a lot of comedians pop up like Jeselnik in the first episode and T. J. Miller in the last. The last episode where T.J. Miller thought Riki was an orphan and told her his life story had me :russ:

Plus when Kate's date thought she was really retarted was jokes

I've watched the first 2, 2 was better than 1.

It's OK so far, pretty much what I expected it to be judging by everything I've seen them in as a pair and individually.

The problem with this "circle" of comedians that G&O roll in is yeah they're funny, but all of their shyt feels the same, so what's the point of them al having individual shows.

I get they do have similar humor, but who else from that circle has a show?

Perhaps I didn't mean "circle", more generation perhaps? "Alt Comedy" I dunno...

I'm probably wrong, maybe I just listen to too many podcasts and watch so much content and stand-up that nothing about this felt "fresh".

It's just that "We're awkward and weird, but everyone around us is awkward and weird so isn't the world awkward and weird" vibe I'm jaded with.

G&O
Broad City
Maron
Meltdown

I still rock with it, I'm gonna keep watching because I do think they're funny and Kate been putting in that work since Scrubs.

I see what you are saying. It isn't exactly original, but the show did turn out funnier than I expected :manny:. I'm going to stick with it to see how it develops over the season.
