Anybody else think MLB has TOO MUCH respect for the umps?

For example, if you go to an MLB game(or at least the stadiums I've been to) & there's a controversial call on the field the ump missed, or a close tag at a base the umpire missed, they WILL NOT show the replay on the big screen.

They will only show "positive" plays like HR's, doubles, triples, etc.

I understand the logic, but

Every other sports shows replays good or bad.

By not showing a controversial play it's almost like an admitted, "oops, we prolly screwed up"

This is false. They only show it if it favors the home team in any sport.

i think the point OP is making is in baseball it doesnt happen AT ALL. even if it were to favor the home team.

I've seen it at Citi Field depending on the situation. Same at Fenway.
