DC is ground zero for depressed, drugged out and/or unemployed black men of all ages. You got elderly black men on the streets begging for spare change or a meal and sleeping on cardboard on sidewalks and random staircases. Then you have these young black males who should be at school/work but instead are just walking through the streets drunk and high with no purpose, no care, and no regard for their futures.

That was the first place Ive been to where one intersection had multiple beggars.

Its not just black people either, bc I seen plenty of dirty white guys asking for change too.
