I'll be honest, the main reason I tuned is I remember her sweater puppies from the trailer and was very :ehh:.

Anyway, the show was alright. Standard pilot fodder. It wasn't great, but you can see a lil' potential. Cristela Alonzo is easily the bright spot of the show. The best parts of the show were the interactions between her co-workers and herself at her internship, especially her racially-offensive boss.

Maria Canals-Barrera is so fine that you really don't give a fukk that she's bland as hell. Again, good lord:wow:

The other members of the family are :ld:. The mother is there to tell jokes about how shyt was in her day. Carlos Ponce (creepy yoga dude from Couple's Retreat) has the role of rival brother-in-law. Gabriel Iglesias was his brother that is trying to push up on Cristela.

ABC placed it in a weird spot. It's after Tim Allen's show, Last Man Standing, which appeals to Ron Conservativeman. I know that there a lot more conservative Latinos than I would like to believe, but it seems ridiculous to schedule it in this spot.

It does have a laugh track, so that can mess up the flow of a show. If you're a sitcom fan, then I would suggest checking it out, but if not, leave it alone.
