When I was out of state there were years when I was just at the crib by myself on Christmas day.

I would tell myself that it's no big deal. I'm not a kid anymore. I don't need to wake up at sun up and unwrap presents.

Been back in the hood for several years now. My fam is small. All of us can fit in one car. Everybody back in the family home this year. Couple middle aged Brehs and a couple of seniors.

But still. It's nice to hand out a couple gift bags and a couple gift cards.

Shout out to any Brehs alone for the holiday. If you have a choice, maybe go back where your folks are. Life isn't short short, but it does go fast.

Hell, you can still be around people and still feel alone for the holidays. i hate the holidays. Makes me want to wrap up in my blanket and hide from the world like i dont exist. I technically am considering that I’m 23 hours away from home. I don’t mind it really. Make food for myself and chill at the crib or go to some friends house to occupy my time.
