I'm just curious. Our forums have had all types to topics but I've never noticed anything about stock trading.
I'm an amateur but I've been active for about a year, so I learned the hard way. Just wondering if there was anyone to bounce ideas off of.

I don't know the first thing about stocks, but it's something I've always kind of been interested in. No idea where to start tho.

There was a stock thread just created a few weeks ago. The mods should just merge all these stock threads and sticky it.

I went on a buying spree today. Bought a little MSFT, TIBX, and NVDA

Thats whats up.

If you're interested, check out jamba juice (jmba). Its cheap (2.05), but I bought 2000 shares at 1.27 about 4 months ago. It has treated me well.

ATVI is another one. They just announced another call of duty game. Them joints break another record everytime they drop. So I buy that and go short with it. Sell it the day the game drops, I got about +.30 per share last time when the last game dropped. It's a lil more, like the 12 dollar range.

NLY is a stable stock too, not really in price, but they pay a pretty consistent dividend i think it's 14% quarterly. Im long on that one too.

BBDA is an anti energy drink that is most likely a shyt stock, but i bought 50,000 shares because they obtained a distributor and a shot in a j. Lo vid. It's 0.0009 per share, lol. But at least it aint a real risk if nothing happens.

And I also have facebook :sadbron:

I already own ATVI. I plan on doing the same thing. Im going in big with MSFT because I feel they are offering the best products, and they are ALREADY hugely profitable. They should approach apple revenues soon IMHO.

I'll have to look into NLY. That dividend sounds too good to be true. Monster beverages is also a decent performing stock. And dont forget about DIS and EBAY. They are a little too rich for my blood now, but will buy them whenever the next general pullback occurs.

Btw, I bought facebook but sold like 2 days later and pulled out unscathed. I aint fukking with FB until I see some real data and a clear long term plan. fukk over-hyped bullshyt stocks. Its an easy way to lose money. If you follow the words of the GOAT buffet you can significantly reduce your losses.

:wtb: Were you BestofdaBest on SOHH?

Anyway my portfolio is looking :flabbynsick: as fukk. Ignore the entries that show that I'm up by several hundred thousand percent. That's some kind of software error. I'm down on those too.

Lol, nah I had the same name at sohh. But I barely participated. So since I made the jump, and this forum has the Tapatalk app compatibilty, Im here more often. A lot easier to deal with on the road.

It's a funny game, somedays Im up, and some days I wanna sell it all and quit. Im still wet as hell behind the ears, because when I first started I was just buying everything, without strategy. Now that I have a plan, it's a lot easier. And being patient is a key.

I had Sprint stock at 2.80 a share almost 2500 shares and sold em because they falling (against my gut feeling,) had I just been patient I would have been cool. It's up to 3.11 right now

I like to find penny stocks for large companys, like jmba and sprint an pickup at least 1000 shares. That way every little gain for the stock price is a big gain for my overall. Downside is that penny stocks can be pretty risky.

I was heavy in stock trading for a few years, actually I was a heavy day trader, had a nice tradestation account and did a bit of auto trading, had to learn easy language for that. The most important thing in trading is knowing your limits, having stop losses, sticking to a system that works for you, never going against the market patterns and just ride the wave. I was heavy into volume based analysis and to me that worked the best.
