Dont stay in just because you want want to have a job. Also, do't get out unless you have your bachelors.

I did and got out w/o a plan. Ended up staying at random friends houses in ATL and Jacksonville. Worked gigs under the table, smoked a lot of weed, partied and collected unemployment. Finally got a legit job and hated that shyt. Went right back in. Stayed in 6-7 yrs, got out w/ a diploma. Kind of a blessing in disguise cause before I went back in, applied to go to St. John's university and about two weeks after I reported to Germany, got my acceptance letter. I would've racked up so much debt if I would've went tho. Trust me, don't get out w/o a plan of what you want to do or at least 2-3 yrs of school already completed. Make all the connections you can while in. Don't kiss every ass, just the right ones

nikka do what's best for you. I'm looking into the benefits of the GI and all that right now. I'm about to become an e-4 pretty soon, and want to see how it is in the states before I get out. Don't be a slave to the paycheck, and stay unhappy. A lot of racism and c00nism in the military, some can't adjust.

Please don't get out until you have your college degree, unless your job in the navy is directly transferable to a civilian one. Then you could just work and go to school AND be a veteran.. :ehh:
