Any of you cats not in school ever think about taking 1-2 classes in a topic you're interested in?

or do you just figure that you'll be able to self-teach yourself? What kind of topics you interested in? What things you think it'd be better to go to a class?

Yes, it'll cost money, but knowledge is power.

I don't see the point in taking classes unless you're working towards a degree, credits at most good universities aren't cheap.

I'll never forget taking a class that was half African history and the second half of the semester was Asian history. I was kinda disgusted at the lack of black people in the class. That's one thing I can say about white folks, they're interested in learning various cultures.

i wonder if i could, at this point, still be "taught" some non-computer/tech shyt like i used to be taught as a youngin. I've learned so much shyt on my own as an adult that i wonder if the way kids are taught in schools held back my thirst to learn. you have kids who are smart but are poor students because the teacher has to teach for everyone and could easily miss out on those who have gems in their minds.

shyt, with the sheer accessibility of information we have available to us now, I KNOW i would ate well as a kid because i would be hungry for more knowledge. back in the day, you could get info in school, but it was at the pace the teacher was distributing it. either that or go to the library and used reference books that you HAD to use there because they didnt let u check them out

lol...well my last yr and a half of college night school was my only option because of my day job. I never really payed much attention to that class scheduling thru the day. The class was full of some good looking chiks though. I actually met my ex for 3yrs, who was puerto rican in that class. I couldn't be that mad at the lack of black folks though :manny:
