Higher octane ratings = burn at higher temps = more elite/unique/quality engines.

thus,

Get your money up and you'll have a need to buy premium for your car :win:

:whoa:...HOWEVER...read the manual for your vehicle and stick to what that says. Putting regular unleaded in a car demanding premium will surely murder the engine.

Do yourself a favor and start using premium. Don't treat your car to that disgusting broke boy gas they market as "regular"

you guys realize regular, plus, and premium are ALL unleaded fuel types right?

my next car will be a diesel. longer engine life, higher mpg. if you get a diesel made within the past 13 years there are really no drawbacks (the noise, and the smell both have been greatly reduced...even unnoticeable in most diesels nowadays).

In my opinion it does. Buddy of mine who works at a BMW dealership told me this also :manny:

thats cause the nikka works on bimmers. they all require higher octane fuel. you should stick to what the owners manual says. the engine was specifically designed for fuel to burn at a certain temp for maximum efficiency.

:wtf: Where do they sell leaded gasoline?

If your engine doesn't have a higher compression ratio just save your money and use regular octane.
