Any new info on the U.S. version of the British show Misfits?

I was a big fan of the first 3 seasons of Misfits, really the first 2 before Nathan left. But then after the rest of the original cast bounced I really stopped following the show. But I heard they had plans on making a U.S. version. Is it still in the works or have they abandoned it?

Looks like it isn't happening. here is what Josh Schwartz (the guy who was shepherding the US version) told HitFix:

Josh Schwartz tells me, "I am not involved any longer, sadly, since I'm no longer at WB. We couldn't get the money we needed to make the show properly and I was concerned about not being able to deliver a 'Misfits' at the level that original fans had come to expect. Howard is a super genius and I am a huge fan of the show and would rather enjoy the original 'Misfits' rather than be responsible for delivering a version that wasn't up to par!"]
