i wasnt a lifter when i was doing p90x so my opinion on i may be shyt, but if you're trying to drop numbers on the scale and fit into some clothes then p90x and insanity are great, but if you prefer size then its useless

You can use parts of it, but I think its needs to be supplemented with the gym if you are trying to gain mass. At least with P90x. You def need to go to the gym for legs using the program, I'd say chest too but you could modify the chest workouts at home if you are creative.

Haven't used insanity that much, but it doesn't seem like a mass building program.

Ehh..if I didn't have gym nearby, I would do it. Doesn't really help with sculpting and gaining mass but it's great for cardio. I prefer weightlifting + HIIT (such as sprints or bball)

I did insanity a couple years ago. It's a good program ... if you don't like lifting weights (or can't for some reason), or if you just want to drop pounds and get thinner.

I've contemplated starting it back up again, but I think I'm just going to get back in the gym as much as possible (after thanksgiving).
