I’ve just been reflecting on my upcoming wedding and noticing there are a couple of names who won’t be invited. Guys I’ve known since I was a teenager but we fell out over dumb shît.

It made me realize how prideful and stubborn I used to be. I say used to because even though my fiancée says I should invite them and extend the olive branch.. I feel as if there’s too much water under the bridge.

The only one I really regret is the friend I fell out with who Ive known since age 12. It really came down to a miscommunication (my own fault) but I was too prideful to admit I was in the wrong in hindsight.

Breh even tried to talk to me for an hour over the phone (:dame:) but I just cut him off. Tried inviting me to his wedding a year or so later but I didn’t respond. Emailed me years later to invite me to him and his wife’s birthday but I simply responded “can’t make it but I wish you two the best.”

Damn… this whole time I was the villain and I didn’t even realize until recently. :mjcry:

Nah matter of fact I might be adding more to the cut off list, or at minimum severely downgraded friendships

:manny:
Definitely, downgrading across the board. I was going to a wedding this summer in Atlanta…. Nah things just popped up.

I was going to Montreal with another friend this winter…. But I think I got new plans.

At least you’re realizing your mistakes and growing from them.
I haven’t really cutoff any relationships that had any future. If I have to make extreme efforts to get you to include yourself, but then get excluded time and again for moments in Your life, then I don’t need to try to foster a labor intensive one sided relationship that isn’t productive :manny:
