serato is standard, anything else is lesser.
This.

Serato. Two techs and a pioneer mixer with atleast 3 channels.

I haven't done a live gig since 2013. I want to come back and start doing it again this year.

Ive spent the past four years building up my collection of original productions.

I dont use serato. I use the clubstandard CD-J 2000. Bring my music with me on SD cards and USB. Never fukked with controllers.
I need to learn how to use cdjs. Been djing since 1999 and always was iffy towards them.

But seeing as how the.majority of clubs and djs use them...i might as well learn how to. I'm just used to turntables and a mixer. And vinyl. But i use serato now and sold my collection so...why not learn how to use em?

I remember seeing a clip with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk playing at busy p's birthday party...he literally had no idea how to play with cdjs...and he is talking with busy p about how to use them before he goes in...

Only two tracks...but damn he killed it!

Btw...rollin and scratchin is the best Daft Punk track ever! I played that at a gig back in 2010 and it sounded disgusting on live speakers...

It just takes getting used to. But once you get used to it. You'll be wondering why you didn't decided to earlier.

One thing as a Dj is to never go cheap. Also if possible if you can learn on turntables you'll be able to play on anything else with little difficulty. Feel free to hit me up whenever if you have some questions or wanna know more.
