I really can't stand it. Hell I can't See it.

It sucks going to see a movie, and having to hope they are showing it in a normal theater, and if it is not, you have to go see something else, or go the fukk home.

Is there any hope that they can stop this bullshyt? It failed off and on all the time, and now we are stuck with it or what?

I am not :troll: or anything. I suffer, well suffer is not the right word, but I have monocular vision(or stereo blind), and the 3d bullshyt just needs to fukking get thrown in the bushes again.

Its not really anything beneficial or detracting outside of some lack of depth perception, and basically the complete inability to watch things in 3d. That is it has no depth, so with the glasses on it just looks like any other movie, and looks like shyt otherwise.

In real life, it looks normal overall to my knowledge, but who knows.

When used right, it's fukking incredible.

See: Avatar, Life Of Pi

But I don't have the problem of 3D or nothing, I can always choose 2D, but I'd be pretty pissed otherwise :damn:

My dude.....you clearly have the internet. Use it.

I know what movies are showing, but it doesn't always state if it is in one of the 3d theaters, or both or just a normal one. At least the local shyt movie theater only had standard screens, but the moves are :ehh: most of the time.

I have local theaters only I think. A few are bigger, but none have a name associated with them. I have 10 screen ones and 2-4 screen ones., and none appear to have a company name. Even on the web site, which apparently got updated since the last time I went to show what times/screens are 3d, and 2d which is nice.

The paper doesn't do that though, which is usually where I was looking tbh.
I live in Vermont, it is hard as hell to get permits to build unless you are a local company.

2d glasses allow any RealD 3D movie to be viewed as if it is a normal two-dimensional movie. I created them so my wife could come see 3D movies with me without getting a headache. Soon, I realized that we weren't the only people with this problem, so I decided to make them avaliable online

2D Glasses

personally i liked 3d movies, but i've only seen avengers and life of pi in 3d

It is a complete crock of shyt devised by the studios to get people out of the house and bleed their pockets.

The thing I find about people who defend 3D is how they always talk up 3D as something that makes films immersive, but if anything it's the opposite. I remember seeing Prometheus in the cinema and I'd be sitting there watching it and then all of a sudden some stupid shyt would just fly in my face like some children's pop up book. It didn't immerse me in the world, it took me out of it. It's distracting and adds nothing to the experience. And Prometheus was supposed to be one of the better examples of 3D.

I'm all for technological advancements in film, and I'm sure some filmmakers can do some interesting things with the format, but the way the studios have shoved this garbage down our throats is a joke. That's why I really respect Nolan for sticking to his guns and refusing to use 3D.

Also recent reports are suggesting 3D may be on it's way out.

If you dont like it dont watch it. Its really that simple. Unless you live somewhere remote they always have the 2D version playing also. People are such babies damn. Crying about something they can easily avoid.

OP, I agree that the '3D' thing has become more of a gimmick than proper implementation. Some movies need not be in 3D plain and simple. However, I have never seen a theatre that did not advertise a 3D showing as properly listed.

I remember when i was like 8 years old i went to see a movie that was in 3d (the red and blue glasses ones).

My glasses got lost somewhere under a seat in front of me and i spent 2 hours looking at a complete fukking mess. I didn't know it was supposed to be 3D so i was :wtf: the entire time. Everyone was talking about how great and incredible it looked while im sitting there like :dwillhuh:
