I BOUGHT MY GIRL A GUITAR EARLIER THIS YEAR. MY BUDDY GAVE ME A CLASSICAL GUITAR A BIT AFTERWARDS. IT'S A BEGINNER GUITAR. YAMAHA CG-100.

I'VE BEEN GOOFING AROUND WITH IT AND NOW I'M GETTING A BIT MORE SERIOUS ABOUT PLAYING. I WANT A BETTER SOUNDING GUITAR NOW.

ANYWAYS WHAT YOU BREHS PLAYING?

Been playing since 2011.

My main influences are Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Randy Rhoads and Prince.

Prince was funky on the guitar but could also shred with the best of them. He had Hendeix and Santana solos nailed down by the time he was 16.:wow:

I learned self taught..mainly youtube videos and the other half ROCKSMITH 2014 on pc.

Anyone who plays guitar has a powerful tool. It brings healing..brings people together..and gets you females easily :mjlit:

Electric or acoustic?

I can only give recs as far as electrics go

I gotta squier stratocaster and a gibson firebird

Which ever guitar you want to get depends on what type of genre you looking to play and how much you wanna spend.

My strat was $200 but my firebird was $1k

Squier strats are pretty good beginner guitars. They sound great for the price and are comfortable to play. You might wanna make sure to take it to a luthier to get it set up properly though because some things can be kinda off from factory when you first get one.

Firebirds have a pretty good tone for blues, funk, and rock music in you're interested if that. I personally like its guitar shape the best.

Whatever guitars you find interesting, listen to sound demos to find what you like because they all have different tones. Ordering online is fine, but I'd also recommend going to stores to try out guitars and see what feels the best. Some guitar shapes might not be comfortable for you example. See how they feel when you play sitting down and standing.

OP... don’t bother with the Fender Squire

the action (ease of movement along the wooden neck to place your fingers on frets with ease) on it is shyt

go up one level at least and purchase the Mexican Fender Stratocaster (cost is around $450)

And if u REALLY want a nice solid body guitar...purchase the American Fender Stratocaster model (cost upwards $1000)

I only have experience playing solid body guitars...and Fender/Ibanez are the industry standard.

if u were shopping for a hollow body model...I wouldn’t know where to direct you...but from what I hear Gibsons manufacture the best hollow body models
