Is it worth it ? I just did a scan after my pc started running slow out of nowhere. It detected 102 threats including one malware case and it seems to have helped it. Seen a couple posters giving okay reviews here and there but only one said he's purchased the full version

The best antivirus is common sense  :troll:

Only get the pro version if you want RTP, otherwise stick with something like the built in windows defender security center alongside the free version:manny:

Or you could just use GNU/Linux :skip:

You should be fine with the free version brehs. Just make sure to do a scan every once and awhile. Also I would run a disk defrag, it might help with your slowness. If that doesnt help, you might want to upgrade your RAM

And if I were you, I would calm down on the porn consumption/ dodgy sites:lolbron:

What's RTP ? How does that differ from premium malwarebytes ? Thing is I ran Windows Defender and it didn't detect anything but Malware picked up a ton of stuff

It all started yesterday when I was playing San Andreas (which I torrented) and everything was going fine. Then out of nowhere my laptop just froze and I had to hard reset. It started taking long to startup after that

EDIT
Free version only lasts 14 days

Yeah it might be that torrent. Go to where the game is saved on your drive, right click and scan with malware bytes. I'm sure with it being a torrent something will pop up, but tell me what it catches.

Okay I uninstalled San Andreas and deleted the data files where they were saved. I also deleted the actual setup files that I torrented. Should I still scan the folder where it was installed ?

Well you can just to be safe, but i doubt anything would be there. The next time you torrent, make a backup before you download so you can just restore. Also, after you download it, scan it like I said above.

Superantispyware is another program to run. Just make sure to disable automatic startup as it can fukk with your antivirus software. To speed up the computer, check out wise disk cleaner and wise registry cleaner. Both are free and both help a lot. Also dont run defrag if you have an ssd hard drive
