Any Biologists around? can someone explain why certain black folk have freckles?

I thought that they appeared as a result of the skin trying to change and absorb UV radiation. If you're black you have enough melanin to absorb the UV rays so freckles shouldn't appear on your body right? but I still see some people who have them.

her skin tone seems like it should have enough melanin and there should be no need for freckling yet she's gottem.

I mean some people who are mixed tend to have them but those people have skin tones that are closer to white people than they are to most blacks

Someone explain this shyt to me. As far as I know morgan freeman is not biracial but he's got them

They are probably part white. Asians with light skin don't get freckles unless they are mixed with white.
I don't think light skin necessitates freckling. Freckling seems to be a Adaptation that Europeans have. the Irish and British seem to get the most freckles especially those with red hair.

morgan freeman has moles not freckles.

My mom has freckles and she is certainly part Irish. I know because I am part Irish and have third-cousins who are Irish on 23andme.
