Although WWE had planned on having Asuka return to television sometime in February, the promotion hasn't found a way to write her back into storylines.

This is according to PWInsider's Mike Johnson. On Sunday, he commented during a Q&A that "there has been nothing for [Asula] creatively", which may explain why she hasn't re-emerged on programming in February.

It was stated that WWE may be holding off on having Asuka and fellow injured star Bayley show back up until after WrestleMania 38. WWE's biggest show of the year takes place in Dallas, Texas on 2 and 3 April this year.

Asuka has been away from WWE since July 2021, when she took time off to undergo treatment for a shoulder injury as well as going through a dental procedure after losing at least one tooth in a match with Shayna Baszler earlier that year. Two weeks ago, it was reported that WWE hoped to have her back in the ring later in the month. She would need to return on tonight's episode of Raw in order for that to hold true.

Going by what we know now, creative may have to hurriedly throw something together for that to happen.

I can understand Elias cause they wanna change his character up

But Asuka doesn’t even NEED a gimmick

expect her to be PAAGing with Xia by early summer

Internet booking :scust:

This is so overbooked, you would have to trade one to Raw brand, so they both have a mid-card title, but E don't feature enough women storylines to warrant a mid-card title, and would be useless after awhile like the women's tag titles were.

Naomi turning on Sasha down the road to join Bloodine is a good idea, that everyone including E writers have probably thought about already.

Bayley and Asuka can just do nothing returns versus any of the top featured women rn and it will be poppin, just becase it would be new matchups. A simple "I'm the champion and aint no one left is there?" promo is a layup cue for either of those two to return.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Bunch of nobody ass writers. No wonder they can't get work in Hollywood. :scust:
That's got to be the most defeating feeling in the world. Can't get a job in Hollywood, nor on TV shows or even soap operas, so you have to write for professional wrestling.

Then have all your ideas scrapped or altered into trash by a borderline senile old man and get blamed for it on the internet :pachaha:
