I know most of ya dont know what im talkin about or even care
but if ur from the area u know the importance of it
im talkin about the junkyard by citi field
they takin over the area and kickin out the thousands of people workin there
most of whom are poor immigrants
i understand they tryin to make the area look nice
and im walkin distance from there so of course itll be nice
but they forcing the owners of the land out

with that said, if any of ya lookin 2 buy whips
it would be a good time to go
everybody there is scrambling tryin to sell everythin they got
most shops gotta be out by december
not many people know, but its the best spot in the city to buy used whips
u could easily find a 04 civic for like 3000 or 2500 on a good day
if u need somethin that just runs, u could get somethin for like 500

i reviewed ur wiki link, seems like some owners sold out before the eminent domain steam roller got going.

The plan was approved with numerous conditions by Queens Community Board 7 on June 30, 2008 and by the City Planning Commission on September 24, 2008. The City Council held a public hearing regarding the plan on October 17 and voted on November 13, 2008 to approve the redevelopment plan, which includes the potential use of eminent domain to acquire property. Some property owners have vowed to try to stop the plan through litigation, while others voluntarily sold their property to the City during the fall of 2008 so as to avert involuntary taking of their property through eminent domain and relocation by the New York City Economic Development Corporation. On July 31, 2009, the Corporation announced plans to invest $100 million into infrastructure projects in Queens that would include development in Willets Point.[12]

shyt is disgusting breh but I knew it was only a matter of time. I used to take my old whip over there for all maintenance work and pay a fraction of what I would otherwise.
