RAU'SHEE WARREN HEADLINES DECEMBER 12 EVENT IN CHICAGO
By Press Release | December 08, 2014

Undefeated contender Rau'shee Warren continues his rise up the boxing rankings Dec. 12 when he'll appear in the main event of a loaded 14-fight card at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.

Warren, 27, was the 2007 World Amateur Champion in the flyweight division and represented the U.S. in three Olympic games (2004, 2008, 2012) as the No. 1 boxer in the nation. As a pro Warren in now 12-0 with three knockouts.

His opponent on the twelfth is Mexican veteran Javier Gallo. The two are scheduled to fight to 10 rounds in the bantamweight division.

Gallo, 31, is 21-10-1 (12 KOs) and has previously fought for two regional titles.

A native of Cincinnati, Warren recently made his hometown debut Sept. 6 against José Luis Araiza on the undercard of Adrien Broner's decision victory over Emmanuel Taylor.

Warren has grown with Broner under the tutelage of nationally renowned trainer Mike Stafford. He has made camp for this fight in Washington D.C. with Stafford and the rest of his gym mates, including Robert Easter Jr., Jamel Herring, Hank Lundy, and Lamont Peterson.

At a small 5-foot-4, Warren has lighting quick hands and excellent command of the ring, which has caught the attention of the boxing world. As such, Warren will be in the spotlight as the headliner of this world-class event, titled "Holiday Boxing Bash."

A victory over Gallo will not only improve Warren's record, but also inch him closer to a world title opportunity, which could potentially happen in late 2015.

"Holiday Boxing Bash" is presented by Warriors Boxing. The event starts at 6 p.m. C.T. and tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

if only warren had some pop in his fists...

Exactly. He's a skilled boxer, but he's not getting KOs against D level comp right now. Its gonna be harder when he steps up in competition for him to do so, so I hope he keeps perfecting his skills, because he's gonna need them

I see Warren getting KTFO once he takes his first serious step up in comp.
It aint going to be against this slow ass Mexican coming off of 3 straight losses though.
