Did Obama Just Throw The Entire Election Away? - The Dish | By Andrew Sullivan - The Daily Beast

The Pew poll is devastating, just devastating. Before the debate, Obama had a 51 - 43 lead; now, Romney has a 49 - 45 lead. That's a simply unprecedented reversal for a candidate in October. Before Obama had leads on every policy issue and personal characteristic; now Romney leads in almost all of them. Obama's performance gave Romney a 12 point swing! I repeat: a 12 point swing...

Seriously: has that kind of swing ever happened this late in a campaign? Has any candidate lost 18 points among women voters in one night ever? And we are told that when Obama left the stage that night, he was feeling good. That's terrifying. On every single issue, Obama has instantly plummeted into near-oblivion. He still has some personal advantages over Romney - even though they are all much diminished. Obama still has an edge on Medicare, scores much higher on relating to ordinary people, is ahead on foreign policy, and on being moderate, consistent and honest (only 14 percent of swing voters believe Romney is honest). But on the core issues of the economy and the deficit, Romney is now kicking the president's ass:

also according to Rasmussen which i know isn't seen as a legit polling place here Romney has lead in 11 swing states with even Pa in play with a 2 point difference

Thoughts? will momentum swing back? I don't know what to expect on Election Day but the race is getting interesting at least from an entertainment perspective.

How do you throw the election off one bad debate? Seriously people get too caught up in the theatrics of politics. Yes Romney got a bounce in the polls. It was inevitable from the weeks of fukk ups his campaign was doing. Plus Obama post convention bonus was fading. A couple polls come out that show Obama trailing all of a sudden its game over huh :youngsabo:. Nevermind the fact he's kept a steady lead in battleground states for weeks. fukk out of here.

Republicans are using the debate as an excuse for the fluffed numbers which will come from voter fraud.

lol this article makes it clear that Barack is in good shape. If a boring performance by the incumbent at the debate is the worst scandal of your campaign (somehow bigger than that dead Ambassador situation, that us liberals didn't want to discuss :leon:) then he has nothing to worry about...

I don't pay attention to public intellectuals who were pro Iraq War. It's a great rule of thumb in sifting through these people. Especially full blown warbloggers like Sully

This histrionic freakout reaction from Andrew Sullivan, as well as from MSNBC's crew of talking heads and many of the posters here just proves the bytchmade tendencies that are far too prevalent amongst many on the left.

In 04, Kerry destroyed Bush in the first debate and he handled him again bad in the 3rd debate. But you didn't see the right shytting their pants like these bunch of sissies. And of course, Bush won.
