Ward-Froch Rematch Ordered By WBA

The WBA have set the ball rolling on a possible rematch between Carl Froch, 37, and 31-year-old Andre Ward by mandating a fight between the two fighters. The organisation's Championships Committee has told the two parties that they have 30 days to reach an agreement for a fight, which must take place within 120 days, or they will send the contest out to purse bids.
Ward, 27-0 (14), is the WBA's Super 168lb titlist; Froch, 33-2 (24), the "Regular" holder; they met in the final of the Super Six tournament in December 2012, a clear decision win for Ward, who has only fought twice since then—a 10th-round TKO over Chad Dawson and a decision win over Edwin Rodriguez in November 2013.
Ward has been inactive since that win due to a contract dispute, but has recently inked a deal with Roc Nation Sports and is keen to resume his stalled career. Froch came back with wins over Lucian Bute (W TKO 5), Yusaf Mack (W KO 3), Mikkel Kessler (W12) and a brace of wins over domestic rival George Groves (TKO 9 and KO 8 in 2013 and 2014 respectively); he does not have a fight on the horizon at the moment so could be receptive to an opportunity to avenge his defeat.

Breh has put in more work than maybe any other fighter in the world to build his value back up for a superfight in the last 3 years and he gets hit with this
