1. It's not officially sanctioned by Jimi's estate which if true, means....

2. They won't even be able to use any of his music in the movie.

You can't do a movie about a musician and not use their music. I hope this isn't true because if so, I can see this turning into that sh!tty VH1 MJ biopic starring Flex Alexander that never shoulda been made.

But if they don't pay it, this movie is Flex as MJ status. I haven't been reading anything stating that the producers intend to pay so far.

If that's the case, they might as well not even bother. Musician biopics NEED to have the actual music in it. We wanna know about the music AND about his offstage life, not just his offstage life. Were it not for the music we wouldn't give two sh!ts about him offstage.
