Cuz this news is pointless unless you have a modded ps3 already. & that tool sucks haha

modding for ps3 is garbage unless you have a 2nd system to play on or dont like getting online. i only lasted about 2 months, took my L from Sony and had to update the firmware. hopefully once ps4 comes out security on ps3 will get lax and they can hack the latest firmware and get online and all that.

i still got my modded Phat 60GB and the Slim 120GB for regular play. that's how it is to me for all modded systems with online play. you need two systems.
