But that’s not the issue at all.

"When it comes to cancellations, or the threat of them, several creators including City of Ghosts director Elizabeth Ito, have complained of Netflix using “staged data” to make their point – using manipulated data to justify lack of funding or cancellation despite critical acclaim for projects.

All forms of data are and can be manipulated to a certain extent. Even then, that’s only claims with no proof. Netflix is in the business of making money and If the shows make them money, then they’re going to keep renewing them.

I mean who couldn't see this shyt happening. These kats were in incredible debt and were overpaying for shows, movies and standups for years.

They were trying to go the Amazon route in which they had years and even over a decade in debt hoping that it would payoff. Only thing is they didn't do an true analysis of the upcoming competition.

Netflix (and Uber) in for a rude awakening. Netflix talked all about how blockbuster fumbled the bag and they on their way to being another blockbuster if they don't clean up their act real quick.
I still don't think Amazon's retail business is profitable lol. That could've changed with COVID though. They make their money with AWS.

YOU KNOW WHAT THE BEST WAY TO KEEP SUBSCRIBERS? CUT THE SHOWS THE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR...

Naw breh thats a cost cutting measure. They trying to stop the bleeding and know that those subscribers aren't coming back.

Its the same thing that TVOne did when they had to buy out direct tv. They were / are in 1 billion bucks of debt and had to dump many of their shows in order to save the company.

It was stupid to have so much Animation and Korean movies on there because people who watch that shyt probably Illegally stream more that most:yeshrug: Netflix is at its best when they are putting out great original content like Narcos, stranger things, ozarks etc. They should cut their price in half and concentrate on shows like this. :ehh:

Funny thing is Netflix wasnt even helping alieviate the wage issues in Anime/Animation industry like everyone claim they would. You know dudes like Naotoshi Shida and Chikashi Kubota( One Punch Man animator) dont even make 100k and they are longtime veteran animators. After collage most animators in Japan get paid no more than someone that works in McDonalds and work ridiculous hours to boot.

Oh they are very very profitable. They basically followed the walmart motto. Get your costs low....kill all your competition then go to the suppliers tell them they fukked and got to do business with only you and increase costs to your customer. They also went one step further by letting regular folks like you and I sell shyt on their site and take a large percentage of the profit. Then also steal ideas from suppliers and make their own version of the product and sell it for cheap.

For example if you and I designed a computer monitor and sold it on Amazon. Amazon would steal the design and sell a cheaper version then the one we designed and sell it on Amazon competing against us. Then if we cut the cost down.....Amazon would sell it even cheaper than we could afford to sell it. Or go to our suppliers and tell them stop selling products to us or they would force them out of business or ensure other manufacturers won't use them anymore.

That ain't even including the money Amazon makes with its data cloud storage in AWS where they store data for almost every major company in the world.

Shouldn’t have pivoted to original content so hard/quick . That’s not what they were built on or why the majority subscribes
I don’t blame them for that. It was only a matter of time before studios cut the middleman and made their own platforms. They need quality content in a hurry.
